What Is Kisspeptin-10?
Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10) is the 10-amino acid C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin-54, encoded by the KISS1 gene. It’s the most upstream regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis — the signalling cascade that controls GnRH, LH, FSH, and ultimately testosterone. KISS1R (the kisspeptin receptor) sits on GnRH neurons, and when kisspeptin activates it, GnRH pulses are released.
